Individual Therapy
"There's power in allowing yourself to be known and heard, in owning your unique story, in using your authentic voice. And there's grace in being willing to know and hear others." - Michelle Obama
Are life transitions, work, school/college, and relationships getting the best of you on top of trying to cope and deal with a pandemic and current events in today's society? If you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, depressed, frustrated, confused, hopeless and helpless, just to name a few, know that those are normal emotions. It's okay to feel what you feel without apology. Now is the time to have you and/or your child/adolescent mental health check up. Just like physical exams, therapy is a preventative measure used to provide you with strategies and tools to prevent, manage, or cope during moments of chaos, uncertainty and day to day functioning.
Once therapy has ended and it's time for me to exit your journey, you will be empowered enough to say "I can take it from here." Does that mean you will be perfect? No, not at all no one is perfect!! Your perspective and approach to handling and coping with unforeseen, uncomfortable or difficult situations will result in thinking first versus reacting quickly. Thinking first will allow you time to utilize your coping skills toolkit that you've developed throughout your therapy process. You will feel a sense of relief, hope, empowerment and bravery in knowing that you can trust yourself to continue to move forward in your daily life with all that you have learned.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment for children, adolescents, and their parents or caretakers who have been impacted by serious trauma or loss. This treatment is for children and adolescents exposed to a wide range of traumatic experiences, including physical and sexual abuse; domestic, school, and community violence; natural disasters; traumatic bereavement; and medical trauma. TF-CBT provides parents/caretakers with parent education, skills, hope, and support that helps children heal and families grow.
