My Approach

"What should I expect from therapy?" "Am I going to be forced to talk about my feelings?" "What if I've never been in therapy before?"

First, I would like to say that I commend you for having the courage to take the first step in seeking therapy. The first step is often the hardest however necessary. Seeking therapy does not mean that you're weak, it means that you were strong and brave enough to say "I need help and I can't do it alone."

My goal is to ensure that I create a nonjudgmental, safe and welcoming space for you to share freely. I utilize an eclectic approach, meaning therapy will include a variety of methods that will address your unique needs. We will work together to identify and change your emotions, behavior and thought patterns that are no longer providing your desired results.

As your therapist, it is my priority to create a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes growth and positive change for you. The goal is to establish a treatment plan and approach that will assist you with sustaining growth while in therapy. It is my mission to help you move past roadblocks that are hindering you from reaching you fullest potential individually and in relationships.
